Random notes on people, relationships, collaboration, perception vs. reality, trust…

success passion focus network collaborateIf you haven’t noticed, I am all hyped up with everything that is going around me lately. Being around passionate people do that to me. Just want to jot down some notes, sort of update:

Have you seen my recent post about people on Dave Concannon’s blog? Here it is: You are those you surround yourself with.   It really reflects what I truly believe.  Everything is about people and the relationships.   I also wrote there about the step by step process that I am working on to build my network.   I would love to hear about how you build your network.

I really want to write some follow up to my post, just haven’t got around to it yet.  But I want to go into a bit more about building relationship. Some people ask how I manage my time. It’s tough and usually sleep gets the lowest priority. Stupid I know. But I do know that relationship is on top of my priority list.

I was talking to my #AskSummit colleague Shane Mac yesterday on Skype and a few things that we discussed make me want to write about. One is about perception vs. reality, and another about gaining trust.  What are your thoughts on those topics?

It was so much fun to do the post exchange with Dave. Did you see the book review that Dave did for me here on my blog on Sally Hodgeheads’ “Fascinate” book?    If you are passionate about something and would like to write a guest post on blog, please do reach out to me.   I would love that.

I am looking forward to the TechCrunch LA meetup tonight.  So honored to have the opportunity for AsAble.com to sponsor the event.  I will be grabbing a quick bite with few others at Jack & Jill before the event. If you are around, come and join us.

Oh, I do have the recorded video of my interview with Andrew Warner.  I haven’t quite figured out how to post it yet.  (Yes I know, I am sure it’s easy for you, and tons of people sending me instructions.  I just need a block of time to read through them and figure out what to do.)  Hopefully will post that this weekend.  You will love it.  It’s as personal and close as you can get with a Skype interview of Andrew.

Stay wonderful!

  • Live with respect. Help. Smile. Treat all the same.

We live in one world no matter how separated it seems.
  • Awesome notes, Shane.

Love our discussion yesterday. Still amazed at how Big Omaha bring together fantastic people like you, Jeff, Sara, Espree... to my life. Can't wait for our reunion at my place to welcome Andrew back - and at AskSummit in Seatle.
