I am so excited about all the festivities that are about to begin shortly as a part of the Social Media Week.  Since there will be 70+ events in the week, which can be quite overwhelming, I want highlight for you a few events that are more relevants to startups.

For those not in LA, most of the events listed here will be live streamed and/or recorded and posted on AsAble.com.  I hope you catch it online.

Wednesday – Sept 15th – 6pm – Guide to branding at Coloft

This is not a part of Social Media Week but is a Mixergy fans-for-fans meetup.  The meetup features 2 dynamic speakers – Roy Rubin, CEO of Magento, and Sasha Strauss, Chief Strategist of Innovation Protocol, with the topic of discussion “guide to branding”.

After this event, I will be heading to the Media Leaders networking mixer at Wokcano – a few blocks away on the same street.  Josh Ochs, founder of Media Leaders has kindly offered 20 FREE tickets, exclusively to AsAble.com fans.  If you are interested in one of these free tickets, please let me know.

Friday – Sept 17th – 1pm to 5pm – A private tour of a few startups in Santa Monica

I will be taking a small group of people for a tour of a few startup offices around Santa Monica.  I can only take a few people, but if you are interested in joining, please let me know.

Sunday – Sept 19th – 11am – Beach party for the startup & social media community in Santa Monica

This event has been very popular, so unfortunately by the time you check this email, the tickets may have been sold out.  Due to strict city requirements, only those who have signed up or confirmed volunteers can participate in this event.

Monday – Sept 20th – 6pm – Search & Social Media – panel discussion at Blankspaces

Andrew Warner & I are very excited to bring a VC/angel investors’ panel to this startup demo event.  We are featuring Mark Suster, Paige Craig, Allen Morgan, Stewart Roberts, with a discussion on startup investments in the social media era.

Thursday – Sept 23rd – 6pm – Brand Engagement and Online Media Campaigns at Coloft

Stewart Roberts

Stewart Roberts is president of Tech Coast Angels’ Orange County and is a board member overseeing all five southern California chapters.
